Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eliseo Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Talon Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eliseo Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Talon Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen fails with the takedown
and Brooks counters with a low kick, right behind Allen 's knee.
Brooks stuffs the takedown attempt from Allen. Allen gets slowly back to his feet.
Allen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brooks is fending him off so far but Allen persists. Nope, Brooks circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eliseo Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brooks has managed to clinch.
Allen is trying to break free.

Brooks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Allen has a takedown stuffed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brooks pinned against the cage. Brooks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Brooks turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Brooks dives in and scores a takedown into Allen's guard.
Brooks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brooks drops back looking for a leg! Allen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Allen manages to kick Brooks off! Brooks jumps back into Allen's guard.

Brooks decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Nice body kick from Brooks.

Brooks shoots in and gets a takedown into Allen's guard.
Brooks is stalling in the full guard.
Allen is pulling down on Brooks's head to control his posture.

Brooks gets to his feet. Allen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brooks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Allen was covering up waiting for the punch and Brooks finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Allen has his feet on Brooks's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Brooks closes the distance and clinches.
Allen takes a knee to the side of the body.
Allen jumps guard but Brooks turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Allen is breathing heavily.

Brooks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brooks drives through and clinches with Allen against the cage.

Brooks turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Brooks tries to advance to mount but Allen denies him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Brooks decides to stand back up. Brooks steps back and let's Allen get back to his feet.

Brooks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Brooks slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Allen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brooks is controlling him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Allen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Brooks has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Talon Brooks dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.

Brooks breaks the clinch.
Allen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brooks's waist but Brooks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Allen off to one side.

Brooks rushes Allen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Allen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Brooks has Allen pressed against the cage, preventing Allen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Brooks utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen jumps guard but Brooks turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Brooks has hold of one of Allen's legs. Allen is fighting the takedown attempt but Brooks gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Brooks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Allen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Brooks throws a strike but Allen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Brooks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Brooks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Allen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Allen wants to stand but Brooks has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brooks wants to stand up but Allen is controlling him.
Brooks lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Brooks slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Brooks prevents Allen from getting back to his feet.

Allen keeping moving, preventing Brooks from controlling successfully.

Brooks gets to his feet - Allen follows without any prompting.

Brooks gets a double leg takedown into Allen's guard.

Brooks drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Allen dives on top into guard.

Allen tries to stand but Brooks is controlling from the bottom.
Talon Brooks has got the better of the ground game so far.
Allen throws a big right hand that misses.
Brooks is trying to control the position but Allen postures up.

Allen stopping the sweep attempt from Brooks.
Allen wants to stand but Brooks is controlling his posture from full guard.
Brooks controls Allen momentarily but Allen frees himself.
Allen wants to stand but Brooks has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Allen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brooks defends well and Allen ends up having to push Brooks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Brooks stuffs the takedown.

Brooks clobbers Allen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Brooks throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Allen misses with a takedown attempt
and Brooks counters with a stiff right hand.
A solid leg kick lands there for Brooks.
Brooks tries to bum rush Allen with a series of wild strikes but Allen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Allen is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Brooks.

Allen tries to keep at a distance but Brooks has taken the fight into the clinch.
Brooks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Allen's efforts to push away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Brooks successfully pulls guard.
Brooks pulls Allen in close to his closed guard and prevents Allen from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen wants to stand but Brooks is controlling his posture from full guard.

Brooks has his foot on Allen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Allen works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooks pulls Allen in close to prevent any damage.
Brooks wants to sweep but no luck.
Allen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Allen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brooks is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Allen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brooks is doing well to control the position and prevent Allen from advancing to side control.

Allen stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Brooks to get to his feet.

Allen gets tackled into the cage by Brooks. Brooks maintains the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brooks has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Allen is trying to keep an underhook but Brooks manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Brooks trying to mount his opponent but Allen defends it.
Brooks trying to control from half guard but Allen is working away.
Brooks stops Allen from getting back to his feet.
Allen trying to hold on to Brooks's head to control him but Brooks postures up.

Brooks is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Allen is looking for a sweep. Brooks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Brooks just misses with a punch to the body.

Brooks drives through and clinches with Allen against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Allen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brooks just stands there and leans against the cage.
Allen is looking to break free of the clinch but Brooks has double underhooks.
Eliseo Allen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Talon Brooks is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Allen is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

And that's the end of the fight!
Talon Brooks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brooks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
