Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soa Palelei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lunt Cicker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Soa Palelei! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lunt Cicker! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cicker on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Lunt Cicker has been cut. Cicker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Palelei. Cicker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Palelei's guard. Palelei is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Cicker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cicker is looking to work some ground and pound but Palelei has wrist control. Cicker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cicker landing with the ground and pound. Palelei pulls Cicker in close to prevent any damage. Palelei working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cicker. Palelei working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cicker. Palelei pulls Cicker in close to his closed guard and prevents Cicker from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cicker scoring with punches to the head and body. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cicker working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cicker is looking to work some ground and pound but Palelei has wrist control. Palelei avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Cicker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palelei is looking to stand up but Cicker isn't so interested in that idea. Cicker trying to control but Palelei is working from the bottom. Palelei trying to control the position here. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Cicker with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cicker with a lazy takedown attempt letting Palelei counter with a right hand. Palelei tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cicker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cicker drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Palelei defends it well. Cicker jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cicker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cicker fails to land the takedown. Palelei cracks Cicker with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Palelei has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Cicker to stand back up!
That has opened up Lunt Cicker's cut even more. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Palelei moves forwards but Cicker connects with a nice, crisp jab. Palelei avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Palelei gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Palelei is leaning against Cicker and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A short right from Palelei on the inside. Cicker looks winded! Palelei dips a shoulder and cracks Cicker with a mighty uppercut! Cicker falls back against the cage and Palelei unloads with a barrage of strikes! Cicker is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Palelei screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soa Palelei! Soa Palelei seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
