2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bobby Dorsey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Raposo! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dorsey goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Dorsey scores with a three punch combo!
Raposo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dorsey did well to prevent Raposo getting side control. Raposo prevents Dorsey from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raposo is working for a kimura but Dorsey is defending it quite comfortably.
Dorsey is looking to control Raposo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dorsey avoid being mounted? Raposo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dorsey is just riding it out for now. Raposo eventually gives up the hold. Dorsey wants to get back to his feet.

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Raposo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dorsey was covering up waiting for the punch and Raposo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raposo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Raposo looks winded! Dorsey wants to stand but Raposo is controlling the position. Raposo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Raposo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Raposo stops Dorsey from standing up. Dorsey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Raposo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Raposo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dorsey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Raposo has Dorsey in his guard.
Dorsey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Raposo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Dorsey postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dorsey landing with the ground and pound. Raposo is looking for a triangle but Dorsey pushes his legs off easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Dorsey will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Raposo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Dorsey stands up and beckons Raposo to his feet. Raposo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Dorsey manages to get to full guard.

Raposo is trying to stick to Dorsey's back but Dorsey is turning into Raposo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Raposo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dorsey. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dorsey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Raposo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dorsey has managed to get both his arms back between Raposo's legs - danger averted. Dorsey scoring with some ground and pound.
