The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maneno lands with a good body shot.
Maneno uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Chiku Maneno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maneno throws a body shot but no joy.
Maneno connects with a body shot.
Maneno throws a body punch but Bilancia moves out of range.
Bilancia drops down looking for a counter takedown but Maneno sprawls and moves away.
Maneno has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bilancia is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Bilancia changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bilancia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Maneno cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maneno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bilancia.
Bilancia tries to counter with a takedown but Maneno is quick to defend against it.
Maneno is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bilancia rather than just go for the knockout.
Bilancia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Maneno finds it's way round the side to connect with Bilancia's head.
Bilancia is rocked!
Maneno weaves into range and cracks Bilancia right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Bilancia goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Maneno is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chiku Maneno!
A relieved looking Chiku Maneno thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
