The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takaya tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Singh is nestled in close to Takaya, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Singh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Singh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Takaya with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Singh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takaya. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Singh works his way into full mount!
Singh breaks from Takaya's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Singh trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Takaya is in a horrible position here. Singh smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Takaya tries to hold on but Singh postures up.
Singh cracks Takaya with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
