Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buck Futter!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
xolboR fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
xolboR looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
xolboR gets caught napping as Futter dives in and scores a takedown. xolboR manages to retain guard.
Futter trying to control the position from guard on top but xolboR is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
xolboR is looking to stand up but Futter isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
xolboR keeping moving, preventing Futter from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Futter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Futter content to stall in guard here.

Futter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. xolboR is keeping the position for now.
xolboR is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Futter is stalling in the full guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Futter works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Futter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
xolboR gets back to full guard.
xolboR is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Futter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Futter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Futter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Futter pushing down on xolboR's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Futter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Futter has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can xolboR defend it? Futter steps over the head and cranks it - xolboR is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Futter!

In his post fight interview, Buck Futter started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
