Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willum Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaw's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Family Force 5 - Chainsaw. Jack Shaw has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willum Reed! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed lands a jab-cross combination. Reed misses with a takedown attempt - Shaw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Shaw throws a big counter combination but Reed scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Reed tries to clinch there but Shaw circles away.
A lazy left from Shaw finds it's target.
It looks like Willum Reed has been cut. Shaw fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Reed blocks a head kick by Shaw.
Reed tries to counter with a clinch but Shaw shakes him off and moves away. Shaw fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reed. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Shaw!
A swing and a miss from Reed. Reed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shaw circles away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shaw connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Reed momentarily.
Reed walks into a left hand. Left hook, right uppercut from Shaw. Reed has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Shaw shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Reed eats them both and turns towards Shaw to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Shaw circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reed moves in looking to clinch but Shaw pushes him off. Shaw throws a series of punches but Reed moves out of range. Shaw misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick from Shaw lands but Reed takes it in his stride.
That has opened up Willum Reed's cut even more. Reed is looking to clinch but Shaw is avoiding it.
Reed misses with a low kick.
Shaw avoids the head kick by Reed.
Shaw misses with the combination.
Reed shoots in and drives through. Shaw sprawls well. Jack Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willum Reed. Shaw throws a combination. Reed tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jack Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shaw keeps the fight on the outside. Shaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Reed. Reed gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Reed. Reed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shaw circles away. Shaw pulls out of a head kick attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reed takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A head kick from Shaw lands but Reed takes it in his stride. Shaw lands with a good body shot. Reed tries to clinch but Shaw is having none of it. Shaw takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Reed dives in and grabs Shaw's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes down on Reed's head and hops out. Reed looks winded! Shaw lands with a slapping head kick. Shaw looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Reed on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Shaw lands a really nice looking cross but Reed seems unphased.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Shaw lands but Reed takes it in his stride. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Reed. Reed takes a jab right on the kisser.
The cut above Willum Reed's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Shaw stuffs the takedown. The fighters circle momentarily. Shaw darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Reed shoots in but Shaw avoids the takedown attempt easily. Reed is looking to clinch. Whack! Shaw lands a heavy head kick that drops Reed. The ref tackles Shaw to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Reed was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Jack Shaw! After winning the bout, Jack Shaw thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
