Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ian Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameo Klichnovzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cameo Klichnovzky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ian Key!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cameo Klichnovzky!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klichnovzky looking to score a takedown here. Key is defending well but Klichnovzky drives through and ends up in Key's guard.
Key controls Klichnovzky momentarily but Klichnovzky frees himself.
My spies in Cozad MMA St Petersburg inform me that Klichnovzky has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Key looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Klichnovzky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Klichnovzky trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Klichnovzky tries to close the distance and clinch but Key swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

It looks like Klichnovzky might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Key trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Klichnovzky throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Key tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Klichnovzky is in Key's guard.

Key has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Klichnovzky has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Key jumps guard and drags Klichnovzky to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Key is looking to stand up but Klichnovzky isn't so interested in that idea.
Klichnovzky passes Key's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Klichnovzky is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Klichnovzky content to control rather than advance.

Key is trying to stand up here but Klichnovzky is controlling him well.
Klichnovzky is looking to advance position but Key won't allow it.
Klichnovzky seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Key has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Klichnovzky is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
