Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Homer Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Herbert Heeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herbert Heeta is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Homer Le!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Herbert Heeta!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Le shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Heeta manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Le stopping the sweep attempt from Heeta.
Le seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Le is fighting to break Heeta's control of his arms but Heeta is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Le wants to stand but Heeta has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Le wants to control from the top but Heeta keeps moving.
Le could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Le has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Heeta is proving hard to escape from.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Heeta is looking to stand up but Le isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Le misses with a series of wild punches.
Heeta is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Heeta gets caught napping as Le dives in and scores a takedown. Heeta manages to retain guard.
Heeta looking for a sweep. Not yet Heeta, not yet.
Le is fighting to break Heeta's control of his arms but Heeta is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Le controlling from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heeta wants to stand but Le is controlling the position.
Le wants to stand and escape but instead Heeta has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Heeta wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving.
Le is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Heeta looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Le lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Heeta is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Le is controlling him.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Heeta holds on and takes a little breather.
Le wants to control from the top but Heeta keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Le being controlled here momentarily.
Le trying to control but Heeta is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Le digs a good hook to Heeta's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Homer Le dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Heeta tries a head kick but it misses.

Le gets a takedown into half guard.
Le tries to stand and escape but Heeta is controlling the position.
Heeta is refusing to be controlled, as Le sits in half guard.
It looks like Le is going to stand back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Le wants to stand up but Heeta manages to regain full guard.
Heeta keeping moving, preventing Le from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Le is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Heeta is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Heeta wants to get back to his feet but Le is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Le wants to stand and escape but instead Heeta has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Heeta forces his way into half guard.
Heeta wants to take a breather but Le is having none of it.
Le trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Heeta is trying for a kimura here. Le looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Heeta wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Herbert Heeta!
