Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Crook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nate Crook had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Nate Crook has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Crook! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Lee! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Crook. No joy for Lee on that attempt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Crook enables Lee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Crook manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crook works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lee throwing strikes but missing. Lee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Crook is retaining full guard. Lee told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Crook is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lee is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crook was covering up waiting for the punch and Lee finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crook works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lee postures up in Crook's guard and throws a big left but Crook blocks it. Crook is looking to stand up but Lee isn't so interested in that idea. Lee passes Crook's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee wants to pass to mount but Crook is defending the position. Crook blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lee throwing shots but Crook is blocking nicely. Lee lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Crook knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground. Crook keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Lee not landing any meaningful shots this time. Crook is looking to escape. Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ground and pound from Lee. Crook is looking to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Thomas Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Crook stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Crook circles away.
Crook was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nate Crook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Lee. Lee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crook defends well and Lee ends up having to push Crook into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lee tries to clinch up but Crook circles away and keeps his distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crook sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat. Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown and Crook counters with a right hand to the body. Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Crook manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lee shoots in for a double leg but Crook sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Crook swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Lee has his takedown stuffed and Crook counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Lee dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lee lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Crook backwards. Lee has Crook pressed against the cage, preventing Crook from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Lee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Crook after a bit of a struggle. Lee decides to pull guard. Crook would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crook manages to get himself to full guard.

Crook will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lee won't allow Crook to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Crook displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lee. Crook is looking to counter punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Crook is looking to counter punch. Lee with a lazy takedown attempt and Crook counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nate Crook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Lee. Lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Crook counters with a nice uppercut. Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A little feinted left hand from Crook on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
