Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vladislav Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brown Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by crazy bitch. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladislav Volkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Brown Wilson! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Volkov closes the distance but Wilson moves to the side and Wilson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Volkov won't be happy with that. Volkov tries to bench press Wilson off him but Wilson keeps the position. Volkov holding on. Volkov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wilson off and has taken his back! Volkov not allowing Wilson to control his hands. Volkov is looking for the choke from the back position but Wilson is controlling his hands well. Wilson showing good submission defense here.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Volkov's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson trying to get back to his feet but Volkov is in full control for now. Wilson staying busy and making it hard for Volkov to control. Volkov slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Volkov biding his time, looking for the opening.
Wilson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Volkov gets his way!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Volkov patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Volkov struggling to keep hold of the position.
Wilson trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Volkov is hanging on to Wilson's back as he tries to escape.
Volkov really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Wilson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladislav Volkov dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Volkov leaves Wilson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Volkov closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Volkov lands in his opponent's guard. Volkov wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving. Wilson has a closed guard, preventing Volkov from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Volkov trying to control but Wilson is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson is looking to stand up but Volkov isn't so interested in that idea. Wilson scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Volkov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Volkov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wilson as he avoids it easily. Vladislav Volkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Volkov stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilson. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet. As Wilson tries to get set, Volkov tries to push him back and clinch up but Wilson manages to avoid the attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Wilson or perhaps it was just good defense by Volkov, which made it look bad. Vladislav Volkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brown Wilson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilson fails with the takedown. Volkov closes the distance and clinches up with Wilson, looking for a takedown. Volkov pushes Wilson against the cage but Wilson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wilson feints the counter takedown. Volkov goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward. Vladislav Volkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Volkov clinches up with Wilson and pushes him back against the cage. Volkov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Wilson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wilson trying to control the position but Volkov is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Volkov manages to get back to half guard. Volkov is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at TIGER MMA , so we'll see if he gets out of it. Wilson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wilson thows a huge punch but Volkov dodges it nicely.
Wilson is trying to control. Volkov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ground and pound from Wilson. Volkov is staying active underneath Wilson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wilson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Volkov kicks Wilson off and gets back to his feet. Volkov has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Volkov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wilson prevents it.
Wilson tries to score a body lock takedown but Volkov shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Volkov as Wilson tries to tie him up. Wilson wants to take the fight to the mat but Volkov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wilson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Volkov cracks the inside of Wilson's front leg. Volkov fails with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson stays in close to Volkov's body and controls the position. Wilson is fighting to break Volkov's control of his arms but Volkov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wilson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Volkov pinned against the cage. Volkov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Vladislav Volkov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brown Wilson. Volkov dives in and grabs Wilson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wilson pushes down on Volkov's head and hops out. Wilson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. No luck with that takedown attempt from Volkov. Volkov goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Volkov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilson's waist but Wilson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Volkov off to one side. Wilson unleashes a big counter combination but Volkov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Wilson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Volkov. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Volkov misses with a takedown attempt - Wilson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A head kick misses from Volkov. Volkov tries for a takedown but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Wilson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wilson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson is controlling the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Brown Wilson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Volkov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
