Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boris Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia comes to the ring accompanied by Essentials Feat J2K & Dynasty - "State Your Name". Gonzales has chosen Renegade as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Franco Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia dodges the punch combination from Gonzales.
Gonzales keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Gonzales drives through and clinches with Garcia against the ropes.
Gonzales gets underhooks to prevent Garcia's takedown attempt.
Garcia drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Gonzales jumps guard and drags Garcia to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Garcia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Garcia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gonzales really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Garcia drops back looking for a leg! Gonzales is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gonzales manages to kick Garcia off! Garcia jumps back into Gonzales's guard.

Garcia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Garcia is breathing heavily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gonzales lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Boris Garcia has been cut.
Garcia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzales tries to avoid it but Garcia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzales to the ground. Gonzales escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gonzales fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Garcia showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gonzales.
No joy there for Gonzales, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Garcia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Gonzales pushes Garcia off looking to stand but Garcia dives back in and keeps control.
Gonzales wants to control but Garcia is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gonzales is looking to escape.
Gonzales is looking to improve his position.

Garcia is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Gonzales has managed to free his arm - good work.
Gonzales tries to roll over but Garcia keeps him under control.

Gonzales tries to kick Garcia off but Garcia keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Garcia is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gonzales is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
