Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Holding Out For A Hero (Japanese Version). Ramirez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Night Prowler -by- AC/DC. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
47 - 20 - 4, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keiji Hashimoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricardo Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hashimoto stuns Ramirez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ramirez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Horrible takedown attempt by Hashimoto or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramirez, which made it look bad. Ramirez listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Ramirez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ramirez throws a body punch but Hashimoto moves out of range. Ramirez chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hashimoto throws a head kick that misses. Ramirez doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Hashimoto shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hashimoto throws a body shot but no joy. Ramirez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hashimoto on the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Hashimoto misses with a straight right. Hashimoto misses with a kick to the body and Ramirez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hashimoto looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ramirez misses with a leg kick. Hashimoto looks to land a right hand but Ramirez moved out of range. Hashimoto stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez throws a looping overhand right but Hashimoto ducks down to avoid it. Keiji Hashimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hashimoto looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ramirez lunges at Hashimoto with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hashimoto's hand. Ramirez with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ramirez blocks a jab. Hashimoto swings away with a leg kick that misses. Hashimoto connects with the punch. Hashimoto misses with a lunging right hand
and Ramirez counters with a takedown into side control. Hashimoto tries to improve position but can't. Ramirez throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. You can see the frustration on Hashimoto's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ramirez looks up at the clock and then as Hashimoto takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ramirez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Ramirez lands a few punches from side control. Ramirez landing a few strikes. Hashimoto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hashimoto wants to control but Ramirez is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto wants to get back to full guard. Ramirez is working for a submission of some sort.
Ramirez is looking to stall here but Hashimoto recovers full guard. Ramirez throwing strikes but missing. Hashimoto is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ramirez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hashimoto's head. Ramirez trying to control but Hashimoto is working from the bottom. Ramirez is in close to Hashimoto's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ramirez won't allow Hashimoto to sweep him here. Ramirez stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Hashimoto has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Ramirez manages to get his head free but now Hashimoto has transitioned to an armbar! Ramirez grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Hashimoto! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Keiji Hashimoto! An out of breath Keiji Hashimoto thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
