Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earnest Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John MacDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDougal misses with the body kick

and Murray counters with a shoot takedown. MacDougal fights it but they end up in guard.

Murray got a little sloppy there for a moment and MacDougal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murray has managed to get both his arms back between MacDougal's legs - danger averted.

MacDougal is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Murray's half guard.

MacDougal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Murray is just riding it out for now. MacDougal eventually gives up the hold.

Murray tries to lock up and control but MacDougal gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Murray sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

MacDougal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Murray has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but MacDougal is on him like a limpet, forcing Murray back against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

MacDougal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murray swivels though and keeps the full guard.

MacDougal changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Murray looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Murray sneaks out the side door and pushes MacDougal away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Murray.

Murray tries to roll over but MacDougal keeps him under control.

MacDougal is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Murray defends it well.
MacDougal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Murray is trying to stand up here but MacDougal is controlling him well.
MacDougal is trying to control the action in half guard but Murray is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Murray manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

MacDougal had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Murray defends it easily.
Earnest Murray overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Murray stands up over MacDougal, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
MacDougal wants to sweep but no luck.

Murray stands up from MacDougal's guard - Murray perhaps looking for a knockout.

MacDougal shoots in and gets a takedown into Murray's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Murray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in MacDougal's guard.

MacDougal is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Earnest Murray.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Murray, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
