Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Hwang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quin comes to the cage accompanied by Captain Jack - Iko Iko. Eddy Hwang is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Quin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddy Hwang! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Quin. Hwang does a little dance to reset his feet. Quin sizes up Hwang with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hwang looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hwang throws a head kick but Quin moves out of range.
Eddy Hwang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hwang wants to get back to his feet. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Quin connects with a nice short shot to Hwang's temple. Quin performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hwang with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hwang is looking to escape. Quin trying to pass the guard but Hwang defending well. Hwang pushes Quin off looking to stand but Quin dives back in and keeps control.
Quin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quin works his way into side control. Quin tries to advance to mount but Hwang denies him. Quin working the ground and pound from side control. Quin scores with punches from side control. Quin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hwang has escaped the position, nice work there. Quin scoring with punches from side control. Quin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hwang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Quin moves into full mount! Quin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hwang looks a forlorn figure.

Hwang is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Quin cracks Hwang with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
