Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between James Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pearson tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Pearson scores with a one two! Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Pearson takes the fight into the clinch.
Pearson is pushing Silva up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've been hearing reports that Pearson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pearson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pearson lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Silva goes down! The ref sends Pearson to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Silva is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action!
Silva is rocked!
Pearson closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Silva out cold! Silva corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Pearson!
