Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Neely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fatu Tua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neely's entrance music is Cracker - Low. A fine choice. Tua has chosen Freak on a Leash by Korn as his entrance music. Jack Neely had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Neely! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fatu Tua! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tua blocks the body kick.
Neely closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tua to the mat! Tua manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tua wants to sweep here but Neely controlling him for the moment. Neely postures up and lands a big shot to Tua's brow. Neely throwing strikes but missing. Neely trying to control the position from guard on top but Tua is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neely pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tua is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tua keeping moving, preventing Neely from controlling successfully. Neely stopping the sweep attempt from Tua. Neely throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tua works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Neely will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tua is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Neely has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Neely throws a strike but Tua rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Tua has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Neely is proving hard to escape from.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Neely. Neely forces Tua back against the cage and clinches. Neely goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

A short right from Neely on the inside. Neely scores with a nice hook to the head. Neely can't find room to land a body shot as Tua controls the action.
Neely changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tua fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Tua bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tua is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Neely. Neely shoots in for a takedown but Tua shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tua! But no joy.

Neely has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tua finds it's way round the side to connect with Neely's head.
It looks like Jack Neely has been cut. Neely keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tua. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tua swings for the body but Neely moves out of range.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Neely. Tua shrugs it off though. Tua chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Neely can pounce on him.
Tua jabs Neely to the body, keeping him at a distance. A slapping leg kick lands for Neely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tua crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Neely - the referee stops the clock and Tua gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Neely. Tua manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Tua takes one on the button. That was a close round but I would say that Jack Neely will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jack Neely's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Neely throws a sloppy head kick and Tua moves out of range easily. Tua throws out a counter right but Neely avoids it with no problem. Tua misses with a straight right. Tua looks to land a left hand but Neely moved out of range nicely. Tua throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Neely is looking to slow Tua down with leg kicks. Neely staying out of range there. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Tua fails to land with a series of punches.

He has the arm isolated but Tua is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Neely is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tua knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tua is trying to buck Neely off.

Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Neely is trying to control the action in half guard but Tua is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Neely is pressing down on Tua's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tua is holding on for now. Neely is looking for a kimura but Tua is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Neely to get the leverage. Neely lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Neely missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tua blocking the ground and pound attempt from Neely. Tua is looking for a sweep. Neely is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neely uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tua. Tua fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Neely manages to avoid it. Tua misses with a body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Neely 's head but he takes it in his stride. Tua bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Neely misses with a head kick.
Tua throws the left hand but Neely avoids the punch easily. Fatu Tua seems to be getting the better of the standup. Neely dives in for a single leg takedown but Tua sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Tua throws a hook but Neely avoids it easily. Neely throws a body punch but Tua moves out of range. Tua waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Neely. Neely misses with a wild body shot. It seemed like Tua was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A looping hook to the body misses from Neely. Tua does a little dance to reset his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Neely fails with a takedown attempt. Neely ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Tua throws a right and a left that Neely avoids nicely. Neely misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Neely walks into a left hand. Neely fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tua to the ground. Neely is now in Tua's guard. Neely missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Neely trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Neely in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Tua managing to control the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Neely accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tua wants to hit a switch here but Neely passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Tua there! Tua can't escape the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Neely lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Neely with the ground and pound from mount. Neely cracks Tua with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Neely throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Neely lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Tua wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Neely trying to control but Tua is having none of it. Tua holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Neely tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jack Neely is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Neely looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tua tries to hold on but Neely pushes him away. Fatu Tua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tua is trying to stand up. Neely sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Neely has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tua is looking to improve his position but Neely isn't that keen on the idea.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Neely showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Neely, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
