Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jones William! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Babu Singh! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! William shoots in for a double leg but Singh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Singh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in William's half guard. Singh throwing shots but William is blocking nicely. William is trying to stand up here but Singh is controlling him well. William avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Singh. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Singh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. William is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Singh scores with a couple of nice shots. William is trying to control but can't.
Singh is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. William is trying to get back to full guard. Singh throwing shots but William is blocking nicely. Singh missing with the ground and pound from half guard. William on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Singh lands strikes from half guard. Singh tries to pass to full mount but William defends it. Singh lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
William is rocked! William gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Singh is stalling in the full guard. Singh looking to pass the guard. Singh trying to control but William is working from the bottom. Singh working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. William keeping moving, preventing Singh from controlling successfully. William preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Singh chips away with some ground and pound. Singh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of William's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Singh must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Singh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Singh content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. William wants to sweep but no luck. William is trying to keep Singh in close.

Singh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with William. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Singh keeping full guard, as William tries to pass. Singh wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Singh wants to sweep here but William controlling him for the moment. William wants to control from the top but Singh keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Babu Singh dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
William moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Singh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. William tries to get back to half guard but can't. Babu Singh has got the better of the ground game so far. Singh grinds an elbow into William's temple. Singh working the head with strikes. William takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Singh lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Oh William is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! William struggling a bit here. Singh cracks William with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Singh immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! William is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Singh!
