The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Optiplex fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ridela.

Ridela shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Optiplex's guard.
Ridela pushes down on Optiplex's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Ridela stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ridela closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Optiplex to the mat! Optiplex manages to get full guard.
Ridela is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Last Dragon MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
