Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David Bobinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kubilai Khan! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bobinski darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bobinski keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Khan is trying to escape back to his feet but Bobinski uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Khan is letting Bobinski control him for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khan is pushing Bobinski's head away, looking to escape. Bobinski manages to hold on to the position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bobinski controls the position. Bobinski seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Khan for as long as he can get away with. Bobinski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bobinski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Bobinski looking to score a takedown here. Khan is defending well but Bobinski drives through and ends up in Khan's guard. Bobinski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Khan wants to stand but Bobinski is controlling the position. Bobinski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan can't keep his opponent in guard - Bobinski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bobinski keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Khan throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Bobinski counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Khan is trying to stand back up but Bobinski is controlling him
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bobinski in particular looking to stall. Khan is looking to escape. Bobinski content to control rather than advance. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Bobinski dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Khan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Bobinski shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bobinski showed some decent athleticism there. Khan is looking to escape. Bobinski controlling the action here. Khan tries to kick Bobinski off but Bobinski keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bobinski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan is trying to stand up here but Bobinski is controlling him well. Bobinski with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bobinski scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A lull in the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a sustained period of stalling by Bobinski. Bobinski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Khan can do to turn this around? Khan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bobinski has just dragged him back down to the mat. You can see the frustration on Khan's face as Bobinski controls the position.

David Bobinski dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Khan throws a hook but Bobinski blocks it. Khan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Bobinski looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bobinski closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Khan's guard. Bobinski controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bobinski continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bobinski pushing down on Khan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Khan scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bobinski manages to mount him!

And that's the end of the fight! David Bobinski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bobinski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... David Bobinski! David Bobinski decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
