Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lou Hole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hole comes to the cage accompanied by Tunnel Vision / Tokyo Police Club. MacLeod has chosen Braveheart Freedom Speech as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sam MacLeod was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Hole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam MacLeod! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Hole. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hole, as that shot connected.
Good standup being displayed there by MacLeod as he connects with a hook. MacLeod misses with a straight left. Hole misses with the combination.
MacLeod just misses with a punch to the body.
Hole tries to counter by moving into the clinch but MacLeod manages to circle out of the way. MacLeod stuffs the takedown. Hole tries to clinch but MacLeod moves away and MacLeod counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacLeod lands the left hand. Hole throws a jab when MacLeod was well out of range. MacLeod has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. MacLeod throws a nice inside leg kick. MacLeod ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hole moves away. Hole on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hole moves away from the strike by MacLeod.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hole throws a series of strikes that have MacLeod backpedaling.
Hole throws a poor cross that misses
and MacLeod counters with a nice uppercut. Hole ducks under a wild hook from MacLeod. Hole has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Combat Fitness in the buildup to the fight. MacLeod with a hook.
It looks like Lou Hole has been cut. A jab lands there for MacLeod. MacLeod throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hole on the side of the head.
Hole is rocked! MacLeod digs a good hook to Hole's body.
Hole is breathing heavily. MacLeod throws a jab but it's blocked by Hole. MacLeod ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. MacLeod throws a big counter head kick but Hole avoids it with no problem. Hole scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. MacLeod throws a hook but Hole blocks it. Sam MacLeod is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. MacLeod lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Hole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hole glances at the clock... BAM! MacLeod nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Hole crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Hole is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sam MacLeod! Sam MacLeod was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
