And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meis dodges the punch combination from Wilcox.

Wilcox tries to keep at a distance but Meis has taken the fight into the clinch.
Meis lands a shoulder strike.
A nice left hand lands by Meis.
Wilcox drops down looking for an ankle pick but Meis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wilcox fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Radas Meis has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Meis clinches.
Meis lands a right hand.
Meis lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Wilcox blocks an elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wilcox wants a takedown but no success here.
Wilcox goes for a takedown attempt but Meis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Meis moves into the clinch.
Meis lands a nice shot to the body.

Wilcox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilcox throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Meis to counter with a crisp jab.

Meis has closed the distance and engaged Wilcox in a clinch.

Wilcox has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Meis is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Meis throws an elbow but it misses.
Wilcox is trying to pull guard but Meis has him pressed against the cage.
Meis throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Meis creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Wilcox takes a shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Meis lands a hook to the side of the head.
Meis tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Wilcox is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Meis is defending well.

Meis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wilcoxs head.
Meis tries to land knees in the clinch but Wilcox avoids the damage to the body.

Meis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Oh Wilcox is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short body shot lands from Meis as the two fighters clinch.
Wilcox seems to have got his legs back now.

Meis Rushes Wilcox and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Wilcox is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Meis Piles on the pressure and Wilcox crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
