Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Warren Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Elves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elves has chosen Korn - Coming Undone as his entrance music. Ryan Elves has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Parker.
Parker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Elves moves away.
Some bone on bone action there as Elves checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Elves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parker.
Elves wants to clinch up but Parker keeps it at a distance.
Parker appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Parker takes a swing at Elves's ribcage but misses.
Elves looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Parker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Elves, pushing him back against the cage.

Parker turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Elves tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Parker is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Elves still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Elves has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Elves has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Parker is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Elves.

Parker swings around for an armbar but Elves sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Parker's guard.

Parker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Elves is just riding it out for now. Parker eventually gives up the hold.

Elves is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Parker has latched onto it... Big trouble! Parker pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Elves is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Parker!
