Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ronald Reigns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Jones!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reigns swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Reigns misses with a double jab.
Reigns looks to land a right hand but Jones moved out of range.
Reigns misses with a body shot.
Jones is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Reigns throws a right and a left that both miss.
A nice side step and Jones releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Reigns.
Reigns throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Reigns.
Jones misses with a double jab
letting Reigns counter with a right hand.
Reigns misses with a few strikes there.
Jones unleashes a big counter combination but Reigns bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reigns avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reigns throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
Reigns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Reigns.
Jones lands with a nice combination. Reigns backs away looking to recover.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reigns waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones.
Reigns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.
Reigns misses with an uppercut.
Jones feints a jab promting Reigns to slip. Jones then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Reigns slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Reigns is rocked!
Jones throws a series of punches but Reigns moves out of range.
Oh Reigns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
An attempted straight right counter from Reigns misses the target.
Jones connects with a superb combination that knocks Reigns out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Jones before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Reigns!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jason Jones!
