Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazaki Fujita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoliy Lapikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fujita comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica-Enter Sandman. The crowd seem to be enjoying Lapikov's choice of entrance music: AC/DC - Hells Bells . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
38 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kazaki Fujita! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anatoliy Lapikov! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fujita chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lapikov can pounce on him.
Lapikov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Kazaki Fujita has been cut. Lapikov digs a good hook to Fujita's body.
Lapikov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Lapikov scores with a jab to the jaw. Lapikov looks for the body kick but Fujita saw that one coming. Fujita with a nice cross. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lapikov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fujita.
Sloppy strikes from Fujita. Those never looked like landing. A cross from Fujita lands. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lapikov.
Lapikov slips a jab from Fujita. Lapikov rushes Fujita and presses him up against the cage. Fujita is trying to break free. Fujita misses with a short punch on the inside. Lapikov working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Fujita manages to break the clinch.
Fujita takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fujita looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fujita is stalling in the full guard.

Lapikov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fujita's guard. Lapikov trying to control the position from guard on top but Fujita is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fujita can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lapikov controls the pace. Lapikov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lapikov throws a strike but Fujita rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lapikov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fujita doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fujita manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Fujita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lapikov keeping moving, preventing Fujita from controlling successfully. Fujita engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Our spies down at at Blitzkrieg Fighting Systems: Ground inform us that Lapikov has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Lapikov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Fujita trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lapikov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fujita with a flurry of punches that miss. Fujita's corner is telling him to maintain position. Lapikov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lapikov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lapikov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lapikov thows a huge punch but Fujita dodges it nicely.
Lapikov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lapikov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fujita keeps working. Fujita looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lapikov is looking for a kimura but Fujita is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lapikov to get the leverage. Lapikov wants to take a breather but Fujita is having none of it. Lapikov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anatoliy Lapikov dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kazaki Fujita's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Lapikov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fujita. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fujita checks a leg kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Lapikov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Fujita is defending well for now. Fujita jumps guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lapikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fujita working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lapikov. Fujita seems keen to control Lapikov's posture. Lapikov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's three minutes gone in the round. Lapikov throwing strikes from guard but Fujita blocks nicely. Lapikov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lapikov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Fujita sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Lapikov in side control, throwing shots but Fujita defends. Fujita definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Fujita is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fujita defending against the ground and pound. Lapikov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fujita keeps working. Lapikov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Lapikov lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Lapikov misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! An elbow from Lapikov crashes against the mat.
Lapikov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lapikov trying to control the position but Fujita is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anatoliy Lapikov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kazaki Fujita's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lapikov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lapikov throws a big elbow that misses. Lapikov wants to control from the top but Fujita keeps moving. Lapikov passes easily into side control. Nice work. Fujita sneaks out the side door and pushes Lapikov away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Lapikov moves in looking to clinch but Fujita pushes him off. Fujita on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. A telegraphed right hand from Lapikov misses the target. It looked like Fujita was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lapikov. Fujita moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Fujita scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Anatoliy Lapikov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Lapikov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fujita is one step ahead there. Lapikov keeping moving, preventing Fujita from controlling successfully. Lapikov has momentary wrist control but Fujita slips an elbow through the middle. Lapikov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fujita being controlled here momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action! Fujita pushes down on Lapikov's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Anatoliy Lapikov. Well Lapikov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
