Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mijain Lopez! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James has Lopez up against the ropes in a clinch.
Lopez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! James stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
James is leaning against Lopez and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. James working hard to break the clinch. James content to slow the pace in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
James clinches up against the ropes. Lopez is trying to maintain a safe position but James gets an underhook and turns Lopez into the ropes.

James thows a body kick. Lopez tries to catch it but that hurt him. James goes for a high kick. It partially lands. James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lopez, pushing him back against the ropes. James manages to break the clinch.

James putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lopez in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lopez looking to stall.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. James obliges. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peter James is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lopez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from James. James moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Lopez has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James lands a high kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by James. That's going to slow Lopez down. James rushes Lopez and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Lopez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. James tries to break the clinch but Lopez is controlling the position. James is trying to push Lopez away but Lopez has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. James stalling in the clinch but Lopez improves position. Lopez is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lopez is trying to stall.

Mijain Lopez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Peter James is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lopez taking a breather.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter James showed his dominance in that final round. Well James has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
