Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manfred Honeypott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reese has chosen Bad Boys as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manfred Honeypott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Reese! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reese fails with the takedown and Honeypott counters with a nice body shot. Reese throws the kick towards the body but Honeypott avoids it. Reese shoots in but Honeypott avoids the takedown attempt easily. Reese with a poor takedown and Honeypott counters with a nice body shot. Manfred Honeypott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Reese. Reese takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Honeypott wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Reese fails with the takedown. Honeypott was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Honeypott connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Reese momentarily.
Honeypott dips to his left and cracks Reese with an uppercut!
That's one minute gone in the round. Reese takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Reese throws a leg kick that is checked and Honeypott counters with a lovely straight right hand! Reese shoots in for a double leg but Honeypott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Reese misses with a body punch
and Honeypott counters with a two punch combo. Honeypott uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reese has time to react. Honeypott lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Honeypott circles away from the clinch attempt and Honeypott counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Honeypott cracks a nice hook into Reese's ribs. Reese has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Reese misses with a takedown attempt and Honeypott counters with a stiff right hand. Honeypott with a nice cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese fails with the takedown and Honeypott counters with a one-two to the body. Honeypott looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Reese looks winded! Reese closes the distance but Honeypott moves to the side and Reese takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Honeypott throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Honeypott lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Honeypott moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Reese is rocked! Honeypott catches Reese with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Reese forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Manfred Honeypott! John Reese was interviewed post fight and said 'hey look,was not my night..but i will be better next time'.
