The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermont displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pettis.
McDermont is looking to clinch.

Pettis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McDermont manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McDermont is trying to control the position but Pettis postures up.

McDermont wants to control the pace but Pettis is squirming around nicely.

McDermont manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pettis manages to get himself to full guard.

Pettis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McDermont sprawls well. McDermont wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pettis gets slowly back to his feet.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for McDermont. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cash McDermont comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McDermont has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
