Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duke Hazzard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiko Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by 209 Bitch - Nick & Nate. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Duke Hazzard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kiko Diaz! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Hazzard. Hazzard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Diaz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hazzard connects with a decent elbow. Hazzard trying to control the action but Diaz is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz parries the strikes from Hazzard easily there. Hazzard is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Diaz to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz struggling a bit here. Hazzard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diaz has escaped the position, nice work there. Hazzard throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Hazzard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hazzard fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Diaz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hazzard.
Hazzard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Hazzard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Diaz has escaped the position, nice work there. Hazzard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hazzard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hazzard wants to control but Diaz is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hazzard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hazzard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Diaz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Diaz managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hazzard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hazzard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away. Crunch! Diaz slams his shin into Hazzard's torso. Hazzard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diaz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hazzard is breathing heavily. Hazzard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Diaz can pounce on him.
Kiko Diaz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hazzard feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Hazzard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hazzard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Diaz trying to keep a closed guard but Hazzard is proving a slippery customer.

Hazzard looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Diaz. Hazzard shrugs it off though. Hazzard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diaz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hazzard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Diaz is trying to improve his position. Hazzard working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hazzard's best efforts. Hazzard throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hazzard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Diaz is trying to control but can't.
Duke Hazzard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hazzard is keen to just control but Diaz is a slippery customer.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hazzard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Diaz raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duke Hazzard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hazzard stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Diaz. Hazzard misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Diaz cracks the inside of Hazzard's front leg. Both fighters circling a little - Diaz finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Diaz chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hazzard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around? Diaz fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hazzard has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A good leg kick by Diaz. Diaz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Duke Hazzard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hazzard takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Diaz feints and then cracks Hazzard's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hazzard down. Diaz lands with a nice body kick. Diaz throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. A solid leg kick lands there for Diaz.
Diaz throws a nice inside leg kick. Hazzard on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hazzard tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Hazzard will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Diaz lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Diaz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hazzard. Hazzard takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hazzard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the cage. Hazzard changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Diaz fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Crunch! Diaz slams his shin into Hazzard's torso. Kiko Diaz seems to be getting the better of the standup. Diaz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hazzard. Diaz lands a nice looking kick to the body. Hazzard takes a step back to recover. Diaz lands with a nice body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Diaz thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hazzard if he has to take too many more of those.
Diaz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A chopping leg kick lands by Diaz. Diaz thumps Hazzard with a low kick. An inside leg kick lands from Diaz. Diaz scores with a head kick. Hazzard tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Diaz throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hazzard. Hazzard fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Diaz tries a quick counter leg kick but Hazzard is wise to it. Diaz scores with a slapping inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kiko Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Hazzard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

A decent looking body kick lands there for Diaz. Diaz is looking to slow Hazzard down with leg kicks. Hazzard looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diaz is fending him off so far but Hazzard persists. Nope, Diaz circles away and we're back to standing. Diaz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz keeps Hazzard at a distance using the push kick. Diaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Diaz throws a head kick that half lands.
Hazzard is rocked! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Diaz looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Diaz backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Hazzard's temple! It sends Hazzard violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Diaz celebrates and the doctors try to help Hazzard!
