Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Peerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner comes to the cage accompanied by Lose Yourself. Peerson has chosen Good Feeling as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Wagner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Peerson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peerson shoots in and gets a takedown into Wagner's guard. Peerson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Peerson trying to move into half guard but instead Wagner has managed to sweep!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peerson keeping moving, preventing Wagner from controlling successfully. Wagner is really struggling to control Peerson but he's trying to hold on to the position. Wagner gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Peerson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Peerson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wagner counters with a good low kick that Peerson was not able to check. Peerson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wagner throws a quick counter head kick but Peerson was just out of range.

Despite the aggression on Peerson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A combination from Peerson does no damage. Wagner tries a head kick but it misses.
Peerson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wagner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Peerson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Peerson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Peerson misses with a series of wild punches.

Wagner moves into the clinch. Peerson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Peerson. Peerson doesn't manage to clinch there - Wagner circles away.
Peerson lands a jab-cross combination. Wagner moves into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Peerson working hard to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wagner pulls guard successfully.
Peerson trying to control the position from guard on top but Wagner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wagner is adopting a defensive guard. Wagner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Peerson stays in close to Wagner's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peerson stands up and waves to Wagner to follow him. Wagner attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Wagner looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Peerson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wagner, pushing him back against the cage. Wagner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Peerson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wagner. Peerson moves out of range as Wagner throws a body kick.
A combination from Peerson does no damage. Wagner thinks about countering with a head kick. Wagner throws a head kick that misses. Wagner lands a high kick!

A head kick misses from Wagner. Peerson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Peerson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Wagner doesn't seem bothered though. Peerson misses with a series of wild punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wagner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Peerson defends well and Wagner ends up having to push Peerson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Peerson takes a kick to the side of the head. Peerson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Peerson just misses with a punch to the body.
Peerson fails in his attempt to clinch. Peerson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wagner was well out of range. Poor timing from Peerson. Wagner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wagner thinks about countering with a head kick. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wagner throws a head kick but Peerson moves out of range.

Peerson is rocked! Wagner lands with a right that hurts Peerson. Peerson looks to clinch but Wagner throws a short knee that drops Peerson. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Daniel Wagner! A relieved looking Daniel Wagner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
