And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcel Adur!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez dives in and scores a takedown into Adur's guard.
Sanchez content to stall in guard here.
Adur is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Sanchez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Adur looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Adur keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Adur being controlled here, momentarily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sanchez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Adur looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Adur tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Adur tries to buck Sanchez off but Sanchez is having none of it.

Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Adur really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Adur is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Adur tries to buck Sanchez off but Sanchez is having none of it.
Sanchez happy to just control the position for now.

Sanchez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adur, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Adur is looking to regain half guard here but Sanchez keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Sanchez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Adur can do to turn this around?

Sanchez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Adur is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sanchez yanks on the arm and Adur is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sanchez.
