Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elvin Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik De Boer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Boer has chosen PSYCHO as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elvin Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik De Boer!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen shoots and misses
and De Boer counters with a series of strikes. Hansen will be more careful next time no doubt.
De Boer looks to land a combination but Hansen avoids it well.
Hansen looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Hansen goes for a double leg but De Boer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as De Boer continues to drive forward.
De Boer is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
De Boer tries a head kick but it misses.
Hansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has De Boer pinned against the cage. De Boer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elvin Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hansen shoots for a double leg takedown but De Boer sprawls well. He's pushed Hansen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hansen is on top in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hansen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
De Boer wants to stand but Hansen is controlling the position.

De Boer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hansen is aware though and is defending well.

De Boer is looking to control Hansen's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can De Boer avoid being mounted?
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hansen lands a nice short elbow.
De Boer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hansen is working away from the top position though.

Hansen is nestled in close to De Boer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

De Boer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

De Boer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - De Boer lands in his opponent's guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for De Boer. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hansen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hansen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

De Boer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hansen dives on top into guard.

De Boer looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hansen has picked De Boer up and slammed him! De Boer can't keep hold of the triangle and Hansen manages to pass to side control!
De Boer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

You can see the frustration on De Boer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hansen scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at De Boer to see if he's OK.

Hansen avoids the attempt from De Boer to control.
Hansen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. De Boer looks a forlorn figure.
Hansen cracks De Boer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Elvin Hansen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

De Boer is in all sorts of trouble here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hansen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force De Boer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so De Boer shrugs it off.
De Boer wants to control but Hansen is having none of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hansen cracks De Boer with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing De Boer from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
