Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Nicolosi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carrera Villamora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Frank Nicolosi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frank Nicolosi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Nicolosi tenderised Villamora's leg. Villamora is trying to keep his angry face on.
Villamora moves out of range of the body kick from Nicolosi.
Nicolosi misses with a leg kick
and Villamora counters with a head kick. That will keep Nicolosi thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

We've been told by Nicolosi's head coaches at Team Butcher Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Villamora throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

It looks like Carrera Villamora has been cut.
Villamora throws the left hand but Nicolosi avoids the punch easily.

Nicolosi lands a leg kick that knocks Villamora off balance momentarily.

Villamora's coach down at Hell's Balls NY Hellcademy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Villamora's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Villamora throws out a counter right but Nicolosi avoids it with no problem.
Nicolosi connects with a high kick.
Villamora lands with a cross.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nicolosi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Villamora takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Frank Nicolosi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Villamora throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Villamora counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

As Villamora tries to get set, Nicolosi tries to push him back and clinch up but Villamora manages to avoid the attempt.

Villamora is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Nicolosi is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Villamora looks winded!
Villamora has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Nicolosi lands an elbow inside.
That has opened up Carrera Villamora's cut even more.

Nicolosi lands on the inside with an uppercut.
The cut above Carrera Villamora's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Nicolosi has Villamora pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Villamora is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Nicolosi - that's hurt Villamora badly! Oh, another knee lands and Villamora is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Villamora doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Frank Nicolosi!
