Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shaq ONeil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toyoki Kawamura! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawamura tries to clinch but ONeil is having none of it. ONeil tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Kawamura manages to circle out of the way. ONeil swats away the attempt to clinch by Kawamura. ONeil keeps the fight on the outside. Sloppy strikes from ONeil. Those never looked like landing. Kawamura on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. ONeil misses with a two punch combination.

ONeil clobbers Kawamura with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kawamura tries to grapple but his opponent circles and ONeil counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kawamura takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kawamura throws a leg kick that is checked and ONeil counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kawamura misses with a knee strike.
Kawamura is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. ONeil is defending well for now. This has been an exciting period of action! ONeil managing to block the knees to the body from Kawamura.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kawamura keeps the fight in the clinch, despite ONeil's efforts to push away. ONeil is looking to break free of the clinch but Kawamura has double underhooks. Kawamura tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

ONeil tries to circle away but Kawamura has him pinned against the cage. ONeil blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. ONeil working hard to break the clinch. Kawamura has ONeil pressed against the cage, preventing ONeil from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Kawamura tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kawamura pushes off an throws an elbow but ONeil leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. ONeil definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. ONeil tries to circle away but Kawamura has him pinned against the cage. Kawamura throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but ONeil blocks it with crossed arms. ONeil breaks from the clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as ONeil checks a leg kick. ONeil is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Kawamura tries to clinch up but ONeil circles away and keeps his distance. ONeil missing with a left hand there. Kawamura was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kawamura ducks right into an uppercut from ONeil. Kawamura walks into a straight right hand from ONeil. Toyoki Kawamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. ONeil cracks Kawamura with a good jab.
Kawamura is rocked! ONeil really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. ONeil lands a brutal uppercut that launches Kawamura off his feet! Kawamura tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
