The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chelovek displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Newton.
Newton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chelovek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Newton throws a nice looking combination but Chelovek bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Newton moves forwards but Chelovek connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Chelovek throws a one two combo.
Chelovek works Newton's body with a nice hook.
Newton needs to keep his hands up - Chelovek had a free shot at his head there.
Newton swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Chelovek scores with a nice strike.
Newton takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chelovek scores with a hook to the body. Newton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Newton gets tackled into the cage by Chelovek. Chelovek maintains the clinch.

Chelovek gets through Newton's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Newton is trying to pull guard but Chelovek turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Newton is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Newton tries to pull guard but Chelovek holds him up against the cage and eventually Newton drops back down to his feet.

Newton has picked Chelovek up - he's going for a ride! Newton dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Newton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Newton wants to control but Chelovek is keeping him busy.
Newton works his way into full mount!
Newton sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Chelovek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Newton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Newton is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chelovek can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Chelovek wants to hold on but Newton pushes him away.

Newton is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Chelovek is forced to tap! Great finish!
