PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neymar Riptide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donjuon Grosus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riptide comes to the cage accompanied by The Evil. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neymar Riptide! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Donjuon Grosus! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riptide walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Neymar Riptide has been cut. Riptide closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Riptide gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Riptide paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Riptide shoots in and bounces Grosus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Grosus can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Riptide controls the pace. Grosus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Riptide defends well. Grosus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riptide. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Riptide pushes down on Grosus's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riptide is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Riptide maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Grosus could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Riptide has cracked it and Grosus is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Riptide!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Neymar Riptide! Post fight, an emotional Neymar Riptide said 'I was expecting the win.
