Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Gotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Hoggets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Gotti! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Hoggets! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoggets swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hoggets shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hoggets was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hoggets looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Hoggets throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Gotti works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Gotti avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hoggets. Hoggets wants to free his trapped foot but Gotti is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hoggets works his way into full mount! Gotti knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoggets on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoggets working the ground and pound effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotti wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hoggets.
Hoggets looking to control but Gotti is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hoggets scores with a couple of good head shots there.
A nice elbow there by Hoggets. Hoggets sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hoggets has hold of Gotti's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gotti manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hoggets has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hoggets landing strikes from the mount. Gotti's coaches at Elite Dojo [21 Coaches / 56 cap] have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoggets working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gotti in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Gotti manages to regain half guard. Good work. Hoggets takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hoggets is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gotti is just riding it out for now. Hoggets eventually gives up the hold. Hoggets is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gotti looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hoggets lands a nice short elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoggets is working for a submission of some sort.
Hoggets is looking to take a break and control but Gotti is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gotti has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoggets is working away from the top position though. Hoggets keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hoggets working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hoggets trying to control from half guard but Gotti is working away. Hoggets is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hoggets throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ground and pound from Hoggets. Hoggets throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gotti avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hoggets. Gotti is looking to escape. Hoggets not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gotti pushes Hoggets off looking to stand but Hoggets dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frankie Hoggets dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jab from Hoggets. Hoggets checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Gotti tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gotti with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hoggets to score with a decent uppercut. Gotti lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hoggets circles away quickly and effectively. Frankie Hoggets seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gotti stuffs the takedown attempt from Hoggets. Hoggets gets slowly back to his feet. Hoggets shoots for a takedown but Gotti saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gotti looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Hoggets throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gotti sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gotti seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Hoggets throws a half hearted mid kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoggets takes one on the button. Gotti slips under a jab from Hoggets. Hoggets ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gotti fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jimmy Gotti is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gotti throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hoggets.
It looks like Frankie Hoggets has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gotti lands with a kick to the temple. Hoggets shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Gotti throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gotti feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hoggets's calf. Hoggets misses with a body shot.

and Gotti counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gotti slaps away a takedown attempt from Hoggets, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jimmy Gotti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frankie Hoggets. No joy there for Gotti, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hoggets has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hoggets shoots in looking for a takedown but Gotti manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hoggets's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jimmy Gotti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gotti takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. A telegraphed right hand from Hoggets misses the target. Gotti scores with a kick to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gotti stalks Hoggets and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hoggets's face. Hoggets staggers backwards, shaken. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hoggets. Gotti lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hoggets will feel that in the morning. Jimmy Gotti is winning the standup battle so far. Hoggets shoots in but no luck this time. Gotti throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Hoggets is breathing heavily. Gotti misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Gotti, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hoggets walks into a left hand. Hoggets shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gotti as he avoids it easily. Hoggets dodges the punch combination from Gotti.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoggets throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gotti tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hoggets is in Gotti's guard. Frankie Hoggets has got the better of the ground game so far. Gotti wants to stand up but Hoggets is controlling him. Hoggets is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gotti working a defensive guard here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Hoggets swinging wildly here.

Gotti's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hoggets under the eye. Gotti walks into a jab. Gotti throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoggets shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hoggets showed some decent athleticism there. Hoggets stops Gotti from getting back to his feet.

Hoggets keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Hoggets tries to break free but Gotti pushes him back against the cage. Hoggets scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hoggets throwing strikes but missing. Gotti wants to stand up but Hoggets is controlling him. Hoggets passes into half guard. Hoggets is trying to control. Gotti wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gotti trying to get back to full guard but Hoggets takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Gotti regains half guard. Hoggets is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gotti is staying active underneath Hoggets, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Gotti trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoggets thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gotti taking some punishment here, with Hoggets in his half guard. Hoggets throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gotti gets back to full guard.
Hoggets slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hoggets working away. Hoggets working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
And that's the end of the fight! Frankie Hoggets comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hoggets has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
