Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adamh Pearse!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly closes the distance and clinches up with Pearse, looking for a takedown. Kelly pushes Pearse against the cage but Pearse circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pearse misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kelly.
Kelly takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Kelly tries to clinch but Pearse moves out of range.
Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pearse swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pearse throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Pearse lands a nice shot that snaps Kelly's head back.


It looks like Jesse Kelly has been cut.
Pearse scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pearse looks to land a combination but Kelly avoids it well.
Pearse throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pearse throws a right and a left that Kelly avoids nicely.
Kelly jabbing away but nothing is landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pearse misses with a two punch combination.
Nice combo by Pearse! Oh, that's hurt him - Kelly falls to the canvas and Pearse follows him into side control.


Kelly is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kelly tries to bench press Pearse off him but Pearse keeps the position.

Pearse stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Pearse throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kelly stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Pearse follows into mount!


Jesse Kelly's cut is getting worse.
Kelly keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kelly is working hard here to advance position.
Pearse wants to control the pace but Kelly is squirming around nicely.
Kelly is trying desperately to improve position.
Pearse blocks Kelly's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kelly keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kelly throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pearse. What's that going to do exactly?
Kelly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kelly tries to get out of the position.
Kelly regains half guard.
Kelly is trying to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pearse wants to take a breather but Kelly is having none of it.
Kelly tries to roll over but Pearse keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly wants to sweep but Pearse has passed to side control!
Kelly tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pearse wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kelly is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Pearse is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adamh Pearse dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jesse Kelly's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Pearse throws a head kick that Kelly semi-blocks.
Kelly misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pearse tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pearse looks to throw the jab but Kelly is out of range.
Kelly looks to score with a jab to the body but Pearse is just out of range.
Pearse slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


Jesse Kelly's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Pearse lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


Jeez, Jesse Kelly's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No joy there for Pearse, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pearse throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kelly's head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jesse Kelly's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Adamh Pearse!
