Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lon Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tj Powell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Lon Osborn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tj Powell! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Powell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Powell tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Osborn is pushing Powell's head away, looking to escape. Powell manages to hold on to the position though. Powell working the strikes but Osborn uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Powell drops an elbow to the side of Osborn's head. Osborn is not content to let Powell control the position. Powell wants to stand up but Osborn manages to regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Osborn has his foot on Powell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Powell works his way back into a safe position though. Powell passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell lands with a punch from half guard. Powell throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Osborn on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ground and pound from Powell. Osborn looking for submissions off his back. Osborn misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Powell trying to control from half guard but Osborn is working away. Powell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Osborn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Osborn punching from the bottom.
Osborn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Powell is working for a kimura here but Osborn manages to reverse the position and he's now in Powell's guard.
Osborn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Osborn throws a big elbow that misses. Powell looking to control.
Osborn looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Osborn stands up from Powell's guard - Osborn perhaps looking for a knockout. Powell shoots in and bounces Osborn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Osborn has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Powell is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The referee calls for Osborn to work.
Osborn is trying to force a seperation but Powell has the dominant position. Osborn is trying to drag Powell to the mat but Powell just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Powell is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Osborn can't fight it off and eventually Powell manages to take the fight to the floor. Osborn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Osborn being controlled here, momentarily. Powell is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Osborn has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Powell is looking to defend but Osborn has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Powell! Osborn pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Powell taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lon Osborn!
