Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Mcgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolfgang VonGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ralph Mcgowan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wolfgang VonGee! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! VonGee fails with the takedown. Mcgowan drops down looking for a counter takedown but VonGee sprawls and moves away. VonGee with a lazy takedown attempt and Mcgowan counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mcgowan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from VonGee.
VonGee drags the fight down to the ground.
VonGee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Mcgowan stays in close to VonGee's body and controls the position. VonGee working a defensive guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. VonGee wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgowan prevents VonGee from getting back to his feet. Mcgowan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. VonGee wants to stand and escape but Mcgowan is having none of it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. VonGee pushes Mcgowan up against the cage in a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Mcgowan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt VonGee or not. VonGee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ralph Mcgowan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wolfgang VonGee. Mcgowan manages to break the clinch.
VonGee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcgowan napping and manages to drive through into side control! VonGee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcgowan keeps working. VonGee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mcgowan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. VonGee missing with the ground and pound from half guard. VonGee is stalling here. Mcgowan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! VonGee seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mcgowan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Mcgowan decides to stand up, so the ref orders VonGee to his feet. VonGee misses with a takedown attempt and Mcgowan counters with a stiff right hand. VonGee looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. VonGee shoots in for a double leg but Mcgowan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mcgowan is looking for a counter combo. VonGee with a poor takedown and Mcgowan counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. VonGee has his takedown stuffed and Mcgowan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. VonGee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mcgowan as he jumps to the side. Mcgowan instigates a clinch. Mcgowan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. VonGee is working for takedown but Mcgowan is calmly controlling the position for now. Mcgowan presses VonGee against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Mcgowan displaying some good clinch control by pressing VonGee up against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Mcgowan obliges. VonGee can't get the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan stalling against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from VonGee fails to land. VonGee letting Mcgowan take a breather here. Mcgowan avoiding damage.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Mcgowan for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Mcgowan breaks from the clinch.
VonGee wants to clinch. Mcgowan changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mcgowan has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ralph Mcgowan dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mcgowan pushes VonGee up against the cage in a clinch. VonGee working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mcgowan gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from VonGee.
Still in the clinch, VonGee scores with a nice short uppercut. Mcgowan content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Mcgowan jumps guard but VonGee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. VonGee pulls guard effortlessly. There's a bit of a scramble here and now VonGee is on top in guard.

Wolfgang VonGee has got the better of the ground game so far. Mcgowan throwing strikes from guard but VonGee blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgowan wants to control from the top but VonGee keeps moving. VonGee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. VonGee trying to keep a closed guard but Mcgowan is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mcgowan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but VonGee manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mcgowan has VonGee in his guard. VonGee throws a big elbow that misses. VonGee trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. VonGee slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mcgowan is pulling down on VonGee's head. It's preventing any offense from VonGee, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. VonGee in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. VonGee preventing the sweep. VonGee tries to stand but Mcgowan is controlling from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. VonGee is looking to take this fight into the clinch. VonGee with a poor takedown and VonGee takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mcgowan gets a clinch.

Mcgowan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and VonGee avoids it. VonGee has Mcgowan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mcgowan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mcgowan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that VonGee can do to turn this around? VonGee ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. VonGee no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. VonGee is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mcgowan stands up and waves to VonGee to follow him. Mcgowan checks a low kick from VonGee. Mcgowan tries to counter with a takedown but VonGee is quick to defend against it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcgowan throws a nice head kick!
VonGee wants to clinch but Mcgowan slips to the side and Mcgowan counters with a nice uppercut. Mcgowan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from VonGee. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ralph Mcgowan will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mcgowan lunges at VonGee with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by VonGee's hand. VonGee is looking to take this fight into the clinch. VonGee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcgowan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mcgowan is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from VonGee. VonGee doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mcgowan counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mcgowan. Mcgowan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? VonGee is fending him off so far but Mcgowan persists. Nope, VonGee circles away and we're back to standing. Mcgowan has VonGee up against the cage in a clinch.

Ralph Mcgowan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mcgowan is pressed up against the cage. VonGee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mcgowan down to the mat. Mcgowan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Mcgowan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ralph Mcgowan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mcgowan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
