Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stan Davis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geraldo Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Davis!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banks pinned against the cage. Banks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As Davis looks to move away, Banks throws a big counter combo bu Davis just gets out of the way.
Banks misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davis is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Banks really is a fat lump.

Banks feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Banks wanted to stand there but Davis had control of the position.
Davis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banks is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
Davis is trying to keep Banks in close.

Banks drops back looking for a leg! Davis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davis manages to kick Banks off! Banks jumps back into Davis's guard.

Davis seems keen to control Banks's posture.
Banks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Banks stands and steps away. Davis gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A big right from Davis misses.
Banks seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Davis explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Davis moves into range and clinches up with Banks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Banks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Banks changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Davis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Davis throws a hook but Banks blocks it.

Davis moves into the clinch successfully.
Banks wants to take the fight to the mat but Davis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Geraldo Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Davis lands a takedown into guard.
Banks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Banks isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Davis stacks Banks on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Davis!

Davis throws an elbow but Banks slips to the side and avoids it well.

Davis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Banks is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Banks can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis trying to control the action but Banks is working from the bottom.

Davis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Banks is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stan Davis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Davis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet.
Davis slips a straight right by Banks.
Banks leaves Davis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Banks has closed the distance and engaged Davis in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis is trying to stall.
Davis prevents Banks from breaking the clinch.
Davis tries for a takedown but Banks manages to get underhooks.

Banks is working for takedown but Davis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Banks throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Davis blocks it with crossed arms.
Banks drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Davis goes for a double leg but Banks avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Banks continues to drive forward.
Banks seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Davis slips a jab from Banks.
Davis unleashes a big counter combination but Banks bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Davis gets a clinch.

Davis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Geraldo Banks is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Banks fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Banks gets tackled into the cage by Davis. Davis maintains the clinch.

Davis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Banks uses from the top position.

Banks gets to his feet - Davis follows without any prompting.
Davis is breathing heavily.
Banks wants to clinch up but Davis keeps it at a distance.
Davis is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Davis clinches up with Banks and pushes him back against the cage.
Davis tries to pull guard but Banks holds him up against the cage and eventually Davis drops back down to his feet.
Davis drops down looking for an ankle pick but Banks pulls his leg out and moves away.

Davis has managed to clinch.

Banks tries to circle away but Davis has him pinned against the cage.

Banks ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Banks no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Banks kicks Davis off and gets to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Banks. No joy for Davis on that attempt.
Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banks pinned against the cage. Banks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Banks drives through with a takedown into Davis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Banks ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.

Banks moves into range and clinches up with Davis.
Banks is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Davis is working for takedown but Banks is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Banks turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Banks manages to end up in side control.
Davis gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Geraldo Banks dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Banks manages to avoid it.

Banks shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Davis unleashes a big counter combination but Banks bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but Banks shows good takedown defense.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Banks as he avoids it easily.

Davis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Davis drives through and clinches with Banks against the cage.

Banks is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Davis can't fight it off and eventually Banks manages to take the fight to the floor. Davis looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Davis throws his legs up looking for a submission but Banks uses it to pass to side control.

Davis wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Banks has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Davis's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Davis is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Banks!
