Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enoch Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bumblebee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jeff Bumblebee enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Enoch Knowles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Bumblebee!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knowles fails with a takedown attempt.
Bumblebee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bumblebee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bumblebee wants to work for an arm triangle but Knowles is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Well, if Bumblebee is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bumblebee wants to work for an arm triangle but Knowles is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bumblebee is taking a breather. Knowles says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bumblebee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Knowles keeps working.

It looks like Bumblebee might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bumblebee takes the fight into the clinch.

Knowles decides to pull guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Knowles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bumblebee throws a right and a left that both miss.
Knowles is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bumblebee.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Knowles bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Bumblebee gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bumblebee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jeff Bumblebee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bumblebee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Bumblebee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Knowles has his foot on Bumblebee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bumblebee works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bumblebee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Knowles.

Bumblebee manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Knowles on his heels. He'll look to pass Knowles's guard now, I'm sure.
Bumblebee wants to control from the top but Knowles keeps moving.
Bumblebee wants to stand but Knowles is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bumblebee is looking to work some ground and pound but Knowles has wrist control.
Bumblebee is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Knowles is trying to keep Bumblebee in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Enoch Knowles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bumblebee looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Knowles is refusing to be controlled, as Bumblebee sits in half guard.
Bumblebee content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Knowles is looking to control Bumblebee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Knowles avoid being mounted?
Bumblebee wants to get back to his feet.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Bumblebee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Bumblebee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Knowles will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Knowles has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bumblebee is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Knowles.

Bumblebee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bumblebee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bumblebee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Knowles has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bumblebee but great work by Knowles.
Knowles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Knowles thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Bumblebee is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Bumblebee strikes from the bottom but Knowles uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Bumblebee gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Knowles thows a huge punch but Bumblebee dodges it nicely.

Bumblebee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bumblebee looks like he's trying to stand up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bumblebee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Knowles got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bumblebee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knowles has managed to get both his arms back between Bumblebee's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Knowles fails with the takedown.

Bumblebee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bumblebee showed some decent athleticism there.
Bumblebee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bumblebee wants to control but Knowles is keeping him busy.

Well Bumblebee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
