Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Petoncle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mauro Nash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Petoncle! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petoncle is looking to score with low kicks. Petoncle misses with a takedown and Nash counters with a head kick. Petoncle is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nash sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Petoncle has managed to clinch.
Petoncle tries to score a body lock takedown but Nash shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Mauro Nash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Petoncle. Nash tries to pull guard but Petoncle won't allow it.
Nash breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Petoncle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nash, pushing him back against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Petoncle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nash walks away with a smile on his face. Petoncle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petoncle avoids the head kick by Nash.
Petoncle is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nash shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Petoncle is trying to defend but Nash finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Petoncle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Nash has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nash throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petoncle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Petoncle controlling the position. Nash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nash throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Petoncle managing to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nash. No joy there for Nash, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Petoncle drops Nash with a beautiful combination! Nash stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Petoncle is looking for the KO!
Nash is rocked!
It looks like Mauro Nash has been cut. Petoncle cracks Nash with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Nash falls to his knees and Petoncle doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
