Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ray Griffith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Almighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Griffith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rufus Almighty! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Almighty looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Griffith! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Almighty is chipping away with strikes.
Almighty throwing shots but missing, from side control. Almighty tries to score with some ground and pound. Griffith controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ground and pound from Almighty seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Griffith tries to improve position but can't. Griffith manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Griffith blocking the ground and pound attempt from Almighty. Griffith punching from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ground and pound from Almighty. Griffith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Almighty decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Almighty throws a left and a right that both miss
and Griffith counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffith is fighting off a takedown attempt but Almighty is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Griffith to the mat. Griffith regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Almighty in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Almighty thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Almighty preventing the sweep. Almighty scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Almighty thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. That's two minutes gone in the round. Almighty decides to stand back up. Griffith shoots in and gets a takedown into Almighty's guard. Almighty has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Griffith wants to control from the top but Almighty keeps moving. Almighty is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Griffith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Almighty is keeping the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffith stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Almighty manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Griffith on his heels. He'll look to pass Griffith's guard now, I'm sure. Almighty passes into half guard. Almighty stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Griffith is breathing heavily. Almighty tries to bum rush Griffith with a series of wild strikes but Griffith uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Griffith seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Griffith seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Almighty shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Griffith is backing up but Almighty catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Griffith covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Almighty Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rufus Almighty! Our winner, Rufus Almighty, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
