Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Reese might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bad Boys. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Reese! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Craig Jones! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reese tries to clinch and Jones counters with a flying knee. Nice. Reese throws a half hearted mid kick. Reese closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Reese is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jones will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Reese up against the cage. Jones doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Reese wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reese prevents a body shot from Jones. Reese jumps guard.
Reese looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Jones is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Reese is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Reese manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

Reese doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reese manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones managing to control the position. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones controlling the position. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Reese is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones looking to control.
Reese won't allow Jones to sweep him here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reese shoots and misses and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Jones fakes the leg kick and cracks Reese in the body. Reese throws a head kick that misses. Reese wants to clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones throws a push kick but Reese slaps the foot to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Craig Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Reese is looking to clinch. Reese looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jones steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. A shot to the body from Reese misses and Jones counters with a nice leg kick. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. John Reese is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reese moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That kick from Jones tenderised Reese's leg. Reese is trying to keep his angry face on. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reese misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a slapping leg kick. Reese tries to clinch but Jones moves away and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones cracks the inside of Reese's front leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Reese. Reese really is a fat lump. Nice body kick from Jones. Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jones wants to control from the top but Reese keeps moving. Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Reese can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Reese is not content to let Jones control the position. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reese defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese is trying to get back to full guard. Jones content to control rather than advance. Reese makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Reese.
Reese changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Reese has managed to clinch.

Jones is trying to stall.
Reese's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Reese slips a jab from Jones. Reese drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reese defends it easily. Reese looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Jones sitting in guard, not really doing much. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reese is trying to keep Jones in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Craig Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A short uppercut from Jones. Reese is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Reese. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.
Jones prevents Reese from breaking the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reese avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jones. Jones tries to throw a body punch but Reese avoids it by throwing Jones back against the cage. Reese avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.
Reese jumps into guard, dragging Jones to the mat.
Reese knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Reese is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Reese is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones controlling the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reese is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position. Reese tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Jones tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Reese has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Reese is looking to stand but Reese has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Jones regains half guard. Jones wants to control but Reese is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Reese is tapping! Great win for Jones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Craig Jones! After winning the bout, Craig Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. The defeated John Reese had this to say: 'hey look,was not my night..but i will be better next time'.
