The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szymanski gets tackled into the cage by Claus. Claus maintains the clinch.
Szymanski blocks an elbow strike.
Szymanski wants to take the fight to the mat but Claus manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Claus has a couple of punches blocked by Szymanski.
Claus creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Szymanski fails to pull guard.
Claus putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Szymanski in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Claus throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Szymanski jumps guard and drags Claus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Szymanski is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Claus frees his head nicely. Oh but Szymanski has switched to an armbar! Claus is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
