Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaspar Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Lesnar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gaspar Barros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brett Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar shoots for a double leg takedown but Barros sprawls well. He's pushed Lesnar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lesnar throws a wild body kick that Barros sees coming a mile off. Barros will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lesnar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Barros counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Lesnar is trying to get back to full guard. Barros not landing any meaningful shots this time. Barros is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lesnar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barros. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lesnar is looking for a sweep. Barros is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barros is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lesnar doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barros. Lesnar has a hand on Barros's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Barros takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Lesnar is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Barros looking to control but Lesnar is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lesnar blocking the ground and pound. Barros thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Barros controlling from the full mount. Barros misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Barros looking to ground and pound but Lesnar is blocking nicely. Barros working for a guillotine from mount but Lesnar is in no mood to give up. Lesnar wants to hold on but Barros pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lesnar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Lesnar looks gassed! Lesnar defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Barros. Barros moves to take his opponent's back. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lesnar is trying to control the position but Barros manages to sink in the RNC - Lesnar is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Gaspar Barros!
