Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Grozdev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnashu Kaneson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaneson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Berzerk. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Grozdev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnashu Kaneson! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Grozdev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Grozdev slips under a jab from Kaneson. Grozdev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kaneson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kaneson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Grozdev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kaneson tries to sprawl but Grozdev drives through with a takedown into half guard. Grozdev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Grozdev keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kaneson leaves Grozdev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Grozdev slips a straight right by Kaneson. Grozdev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaneson but Kaneson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kaneson connects with a crisp jab. Grozdev moves out of range of the strikes. Fedor Grozdev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Grozdev shoots in looking for a takedown but Kaneson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grozdev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Grozdev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kaneson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Grozdev. Grozdev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Grozdev swings around for an armbar but Kaneson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Grozdev's guard. Kaneson drops back looking for a leg! Grozdev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grozdev manages to kick Kaneson off! Kaneson jumps back into Grozdev's guard. Kaneson jumps back into Grozdev's guard. Kaneson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaneson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kaneson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grozdev wants to sweep but no luck. Kaneson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Grozdev dives on top into guard.

Kaneson keeping moving, preventing Grozdev from controlling successfully. Grozdev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaneson on the ground.

Kaneson is trying to defend but Grozdev finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Grozdev wants to work for an arm triangle but Kaneson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Grozdev fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kaneson sprawls well initially but Grozdev persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Grozdev fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Grozdev closes the distance and clinches up with Kaneson, looking for a takedown. Grozdev pushes Kaneson against the cage but Kaneson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Grozdev uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kaneson. Grozdev ducks under a wild hook from Kaneson. Grozdev changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kaneson lands an overhand right. Kaneson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kaneson looks to land a right hand but Grozdev moved out of range. Grozdev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Good exchange - Kaneson coming out on top. Kaneson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Grozdev blocks a jab.

He's pushed Grozdev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Grozdev bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kaneson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Grozdev on the side of the head. Grozdev displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kaneson throws out the jab. Kaneson looks to land a left hand but Grozdev moved out of range nicely. Grozdev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Grozdev working away. Grozdev taking a break here but Kaneson is having none of it and regains half guard. Grozdev perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grozdev looks to land a strike but Kaneson avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Kaneson keeping moving, preventing Grozdev from controlling successfully. Grozdev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Grozdev throwing strikes but missing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kaneson throws a lazy right hand but Grozdev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Grozdev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Grozdev laying and praying for a moment but Kaneson takes advantage and regains half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grozdev is thwarting Kaneson's attempts to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnashu Kaneson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kaneson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
