Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sang Carey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Oleynik!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oleynik shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carey as he jumps to the side.

Carey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Oleynik looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Oleynik looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Oleynik!

That's time! Carey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



A momentary lapse in concentration from Oleynik enables Carey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Oleynik manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Carey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Oleynik with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
