Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elton Mccoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matek Krzatek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elton Mccoy has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elton Mccoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matek Krzatek!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krzatek is looking to chop away at Mccoy's legs.
Mccoy dodges the punch combination from Krzatek.
Krzatek lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Krzatek misses with a kick to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Mccoy misses the target.
Krzatek throws a front kick aimed at Mccoy's knee but Mccoy avoids it well.
Krzatek swings for the body but Mccoy moves out of range.
Krzatek throws a series of punches but Mccoy avoids them all with ease.
Krzatek keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccoy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Krzatek uses from the top position.

Mccoy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Krzatek pulls his head out easily.

Mccoy tries to keep at a distance but Krzatek has taken the fight into the clinch.
Krzatek has had enough of the clinch but Mccoy keeps him there for the moment.

Mccoy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Krzatek smiles and moves away.

Krzatek lands with a kick to the temple. Mccoy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Krzatek is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Krzatek looks to land a left hand but Mccoy moved out of range nicely.

Krzatek throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Mccoy moves away from the strike by Krzatek.
Mccoy throws a big counter combination but Krzatek scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Mccoy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mccoy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mccoy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Krzatek is looking to reverse the position.

Mccoy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Krzatek, who protects the arm well.
Krzatek tries to improve position but can't.

Mccoy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mccoy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Mccoy misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Krzatek is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The strikes coming from Mccoy are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Mccoy looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mccoy is chipping away with strikes.
Krzatek avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mccoy.

Mccoy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Krzatek knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Krzatek is trying to control Mccoy's posture but Mccoy avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Mccoy has his foot on Krzatek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Krzatek works his way back into a safe position though.
Mccoy really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Mccoy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Mccoy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Krzatek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Krzatek wants to stand but Mccoy is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Krzatek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mccoy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Krzatek looks to land a body kick but Mccoy moved away.

Mccoy is looking for a counter combo.
Krzatek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Mccoy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Krzatek has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mccoy is working away from the top position though.

Mccoy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Krzatek's head.
Krzatek is controlling Mccoy's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Mccoy is nestled in close to Krzatek, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mccoy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Mccoy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mccoy tries to pull guard but Krzatek won't allow it.

Krzatek is pressed up against the cage. Mccoy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Krzatek down to the mat. Krzatek avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elton Mccoy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Elton Mccoy will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Krzatek pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Krzatek pushes Mccoy away with a front kick.
Krzatek misses with a series of wild punches.
Krzatek misses with a wild body shot.
Mccoy throws a series of strikes that have Krzatek backpedaling.

Mccoy wants to get back to his feet but Krzatek drags him back down.

Krzatek decides to stand back up. Krzatek steps back and let's Mccoy get back to his feet.

Mccoy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Krzatek throws a head kick that half lands.
A punch combination from Krzatek misses.
Matek Krzatek seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mccoy blocks a head kick by Krzatek.
Mccoy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Krzatek.

Krzatek gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Krzatek wants to break free but Mccoy has control.

Mccoy manages to break the clinch.

Mccoy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mccoy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Krzatek is trying to improve his position.

Krzatek is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mccoy working the ground and pound.
Krzatek tries to bench press Mccoy off him but Mccoy keeps the position.
Mccoy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Krzatek is trying to control Mccoy's posture but Mccoy avoids it.
Krzatek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mccoy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Krzatek is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Mccoy has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Krzatek bucks up and tries to throw Mccoy off but instead Mccoy has got his back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krzatek keeps trying to improve his position.

Mccoy is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Krzatek is covering up but some of the strikes from Mccoy are getting through and doing damage.

Mccoy looking to break Krzatek's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Krzatek remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Mccoy will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elton Mccoy.
I think Mccoy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
